Maladaptive Daydreamer - Collage

Maladaptive Daydreamer

This piece was made using many different tools. The ground is painted by pushing transparent acrylic paint on the surface with cardstock paper. The clouds are made from dried paper pulp that I had made years prior with the intention of using it for multimedia pieces. I glued wooden butterflies to strings which dangle from the clouds.

I like to paint scenes from memory because then I can be as creative as I want. Art does not have to make sense or follow a philosophical agenda. Art is a display of desire and passion, and my art is most often inspired by the fantasies that I am constantly daydreaming of.

Size: 24 inches by 18 inches
